Brock Zearfoss In Charge Of Western Australia Speedweek Sprint Standings
Story By TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – KWINANA BEACH, WA, AUSTRALIA – Three additional Western Australia Speedweek starts resulted in a pair of top-ten outcomes for the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss and car owner Sean Carren, and with all recent results considered, the Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native will roll into the final weekend at Perth Motorplex (Jan. 10-11) as the Western Australia Speedweek points leader.
Zearfoss, a former Outlaw as well as former Western Australia Speedweek champion, finished eighth from 16th at Bunbury Speedway on New Year’s Day, fifth at Perth Motorplex on January 2, and 12th back at Bunbury on January 4. The 12th-place outcome, kicking off with heat race and dash victories before starting on the feature pole, does no justice to Zearfoss’ actual performance, leading with two laps remaining before making accidental contact with a slower car.
“Definitely not how we wanted our night to end at Bunbury, especially after leading, but you have to make the best of all situations and move forward,” Zearfoss stated. “Can’t say enough about Sean Carren and this entire Goldstar Transport team. It’s been an incredible trip so far, but we still have work to do.”
