Column By: JIM CLARKE / BROCKVILLE ONTARIO SPEEDWAY – BROCKVILLE, ONT – Staff from the promotional team at Brockville Ontario Speedway is working hard on the details of the track’s 2025 schedule.

Just because it is the off season doesn’t mean that track owner Paul Kirkland and his crew haven’t been keeping busy putting together the new season’s line-up.

One of the biggest pieces of news heading into next year’s calendar created headlines just before Christmas. The announcement of a 2nd Super DIRTcar Big Block Series Tour date – as part of the Northeast Fall Nationals – was something fans and speedway officials had been waiting for. Paul Kirkland says the Big Block double dip will be a major drawing card for the upcoming season of action at the popular Eastern Ontario layout.

“Following an open practice session a week earlier, we’ll roll-out the opening round of action Saturday, May 9th,” Paul Kirkland said. “We had some solid car counts in 2024, with close to 30 different racers scoring points in the 358 Modifieds, almost 40 Sportsman-Modified teams running at least a single main event and almost 20 different Crate Sprint Car crews signing-in at the pit gate last year.”

While the complete schedule hasn’t been announced, Paul Kirkland says fans will be excited to see another calendar of Saturday night racing at ‘The BOS’. Novice Sportsman racing will be part of the weekly line-up, with Mini Stock, Street Stock and Vintage Modified teams on hand for selected events during the 2025 season.

“We’ve been talking back and forth with reps from the Empire Super Sprint Series about dates for the new season,” according to Kirkland. “Officials recently announced that the group’s 42nd season will include dates Saturday, June 21st and August 2nd at Brockville Ontario Speedway.”

Marking close to 60 years since the track opened the gates for the inaugural event in 1969, the upcoming schedule continues a legacy of promotion by the Kirkland family that began in 1994.
