Story By: MIKE WARREN / DIRTCAR – WEEDSPORT, NY – In 2024, 186 drivers attempted to qualify for a Feature on the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series.

And with more drivers expected to battle in Series races in 2025, the number of races on the schedule is also growing.

An 11-race schedule will determine the 2025 Series champion, racing throughout New York and Canada. Four new venues, including one for the first time in 18 years, will be included.

New Additions

A trip to Lebanon Valley Speedway kicks off the returning tracks on Saturday, April 19, one night after the Super DIRTcar Series races at Albany-Saratoga Speedway. It’s the first time the Series has raced at the “Valley of Speed” since 2007, when Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Famer Kenny Tremont scored the win.

Another 1/2-mile track rejoins the tour on Thursday, April 22, when the Series heads to the shores of Lake Champlain for a stop at Airborne Park Speedway. The Plattsburgh, NY track, which will also sanction 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, and 4 Cylinders weekly in the 2025 season, last hosted a Series event in 2019 when Erick Rudolph took the checkered flag.

Along with Airborne, two more tracks returning to the DIRTcar banner in 2025 are Cornwall Motor Speedway and Mohawk International Raceway, which will host a July doubleheader. Cornwall is up first on Thursday, July 16, followed by Mohawk on Thursday, July 17.

Mat Williamson, the 2023 Series champion, won the last Cornwall stop in 2021, while Chris Raabe won the previous race at Mohawk in 2022.

Five Figure Paydays

The DIRTcar 358 Modified Series will battle for $10,000+ on three occasions in the 2025 season. The first of those is at Cornwall, where $10,000 (Canadian) is on the line.

Then, the highest-paying race on the schedule awaits the Series on Friday, Oct. 10. Drivers will battle for $20,000-to-win in the Salute to the Troops 150 at Oswego Speedway as part of the Northeast’s marquee event, Super DIRT Week 53.

The last of the three five-figure paydays comes one week later at Brockville Ontario Speedway, where the 2025 Series champion will be crowned. A $10,000 (Canadian) is up for grabs in the track’s Fall Nationals finale on Saturday, Oct. 18.
