Steve Inch has been the announcer for the Appalachian Speedweek since its return in 2023 and he continues in that capacity. Buddy will be the announcer for The Fall Clash events.

“We are blessed with having two of the most highly regarded voices in auto racing as part of our team,” commented race director, Jeff Gromis. “Their resumes as professionals in the sport speak volumes and their sincere passion for the sport as diehard race fans clearly shows in their work.”

Inch has been involved in work at auto racing facilities for 38 years, headlined by over 30 years at Selinsgrove Speedway. He has also filled in as an announcer at Williams Grove, Big Diamond, BAPS and Lincoln.

Long has been announcing for 46 years and began at the age of 15. He worked for 17 years at the Motor Racing Network (MRN) doing NASCAR Cup, Xfinity and Truck races. Buddy was also the public address system voice at Daytona, Richmond and at Homestead for the Ford Championship weekend. He served as the announcer and publicity director at Potomac Speedway for Pete Cameron in the ‘90s and announced at Pennsboro Speedway with Pete Secret and Dow Carnathan. He was Director of Operations for the country’s top go-kart sanctioning body, the World Karting Association (WKA) for 20 years.
