Patrik Daniel Scores Southern States Modifieds Renegade Texas Grand Win At 105 Speedway
Story By: JOSEPH BATES / SOUTHERN STATES MODIFIED SERIES – CLEVELAND, TX – The 29th Annual Renegade Texas Grand featured two nights of action at the semi-banked clay oval in Cleveland, Texas with competitors chasing Day Motor Sports points in the Southern States Modifieds Presented by Schultz Fueling Technologies in front of a packed house.
Corey Oltz from Lake Charles, La. set the pace after winning the Schultz Fueling Technologies Pole Award.
Anthony Meek used the outside line to take the lead from Thomas Holt and Patrik Daniel to pull away early in the race but a caution would bunch the field for a restart.
Daniel snuck by Meek on the outside to lead lap 7 with Thomas Holt, Keith White, John Sliney and Richard Holt in pursuit.
The third caution flag waved with 9 laps to go and Keith White used that to his advantage to jump up to third and join Anthony Meek in the chase for the lead.
Thomas Holt would hold on to fourth while Richard Mills clawed his way from 11th on the starting grid to sixth at the finish line to claim the Shed Road Auto Parts Hard Charger Award. Ashton Wester, John Sliney, Corey Oltz and Brother Fowlkes were the top ten.
