Open Practice Date Set For Friday At Outlaw Speedway
Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – Keeping with a tradition that was set several years ago, Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter, Tyler Siri will host a special Open Practice Night on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the popular Yates County Oval.
“The past three seasons, early April weather has not been our strong suite, stated Siri. I like to schedule two or three big shows to open the month of April trying to get a jump start on the year, however Mother Nature has had other ideas. I also like to wrap up April on the last Friday night with an Open Practice allowing teams one final opportunity to shake down their equipment prior to our first official point paying show which this year falls on Friday, May 2. Outlaw Speedway offers some of the largest championship payouts of any track in the northeast which gets the attention of every team that races here on a weekly basis. The Open Practice on April 25 gives teams one last shot at making sure everything is ready to go for the first official point show the following week.”
Gate and practice times will be posted on Facebook with a minimal pit entry fee charged. Grandstand seating will be free on Friday, April 25, Open Practice Night.
Concession stands will be open offering great food as well as both hot and cold beverages.
For those entering the pit area the Outlaw Speedway Salon will be open offering a wide variety of iced cold beer along with a top deck observation viewing area offering a breath-taking look at the Fast 4/10 of a Mile Clay Oval.
Any race cars are allowed ample time for practice and drivers are reminded to make sure they are registered for myracepass prior to the Season Point Opener on May 2, 2025.

Lead Scorer and Handicapper, Sheila Darcy will also be available on the practice night to help register drivers.
Track Announcer and Outlaw Speedway Facebook guru, Craig “Spazman” Simmons will be hard at work as usual leading up to the April 25, 2025 Open Practice night providing viewers much needed information regarding practice as well as the Season Point Opening Roy Silver’s Memorial which kicks off the First Official Fast 5* Point Paying Event of the 2025 campaign.
