Two Days Of Racing This Weekend At Grandview Speedway On Tap

Story By: JEFFREY AHLUM / GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – Grandview Speedway is all set to move into week number two in the chase for the track championships, and will do so with two-days of racing this weekend.
The action begins on Friday, April 25, and will feature the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage Cars in action along with the Slingshots starting at 7 pm. Pit gates open at 2 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 6 pm. Grandstand admission will be $10, with children ages 12 and under admitted for free. Pit admission is $30 for the Friday event.
Racing action on Saturday, April 26 will be a double-header for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and the T. P. Truck Equipment Sportsman, which includes qualifying events for both divisions leading up to the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified and 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature events.
The Saturday, April 26 program will also see the first installment of the monthly fan participation Trivia nights, where questions about Grandview Speedway racing will be asked, and fans will be able to win some cool prizes, tickets for upcoming race events, or gift cards. The trivia night contests have been very popular and a lot of fun!
Pit gates will open at 3 pm, grandstand gates open at 4 pm, warmups are at 5 pm, and racing starts at 6 pm.
Grandstand admission for Adults is $20, Students ages 10-15 with ID are $10, while ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 with a license and $45 without a license.
This Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the first Low Down and Dirty meet and greet of the season. The drivers scheduled to participate include the father and son duo of Doug and Cody Manmiller, both of whom were feature race winners last season.
The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area starting at 3:30 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway.
The chase for the Grandview and NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series championships got underway last Saturday night, with Brian Hirthler scoring the biggest win of his career in the 50-lap Bruce Rogers Memorial T.P. Trailer Modified championship feature to open the season.
Hirthler will be joined by other top finishers who are looking for their first wins of the year this coming Saturday night including Mike Gular, Brett Kressley, Logan Watt, Jared Umbenhauer, Craig Von Dohren, Louden Reimert, Jeff Strunk, Kyle Smith, Bobby Trapper Jr., Ryan Watt, Craig Whitmoyer, Duane Howard, and nearly three dozen drivers who will be battling it out for a feature win.
The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman championship chase got off to a great start with a highly competitive feature and a back and forth battle for the win between Colin Cox and Adrianna Delliponti, with Cox scoring the win. Both of those drivers will lead the rest of the field into action this week along with other top performers from last week including Gavyn Krupp, Nathan Mohr, Kenny Gilmore, Dylan Swinehart, Joey Vaccaro, Mike Stofflet, Jimmy Leiby, Colton Perry, and three dozen drivers who will join them looking to score the victory.
The following week on Saturday, May 3, racing will be sponsored by PWD Lubricants of Warminster, Pa. and will feature the first three-division show of the year, as the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will be joined by the Pro 4 Racing Series Four Cylinder Stock Cars starting at 6:30 pm.
Fast approaching on the Grandview calendar is the first Thunder on the Hill race program on Tuesday, May 20, as Levan Machine & Truck Equipment presents the Rich Mar Florist Kubota High Limit 410 Sprints for the third time in track history.
This event will see the Rich Mar Florist Kubota High Limit 410 Sprints in the Roto-Rooter Mid-Week Series. The program includes Time Trials, and qualifying events leading up to the 35-lap feature event that pays $20,000 to win and $1500 to start the main event. The program also includes the Alpine Building Supply Vintage Cars in action with two 12-lap feature events.
Advance tickets for the May 20 event are available at TicketHoss.com. Advance ticket holders get to enter the grandstand at 4:30 pm, followed by general admission tickets going on sale and main gates opening at 5 pm. Time trials start at 7 pm, with the show set to start at 7:30 pm. A rain date of Wednesday, May 21 is in place if needed.
