Column: Don’t Miss Saturday Night’s Brockville Ontario Speedway ’25 Season Opener

Story By: JIM CLARKE / BROCKVILLE ONTARIO SPEEDWAY – BROCKVILLE, ONT – The moment Southeastern Ontario race fans have been waiting for has arrived.
Brockville Ontario Speedway kicks-off its 2025 schedule with the opening round of the Ogilvie’s Auto and Fleet Triple Crown Series.
The Saturday, May 10th line-up will be highlighted by extra distance main events for the track’s headline divisions, as the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds have a 50-lap feature paying $2500 to win, with the Sportsman-Mods booked for a $1000 to win 40-lapper. Also on the night’s docket will be the Surprenant Truck Shop Crate Sprint Cars, plus the Novice Sportsman and Mini Stock classes.
“Across the board, our racers, crews, officials and fans are excited to get a new season of racing underway,” explained Brockville Speedway track owner and promoter Paul Kirkland. “Our team has put in some long hours of work behind the scenes to bring some new event sponsorship partners and special promotions to the facility for 2025”.
Paul Kirkland says this weekend’s schedule launch is just the first event in a stretch of 17 regular season Saturday nights of action at ‘The BOS’. The line-up also includes the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds for a mid-week special Wednesday, July 30th. This year’s calendar will mark the 31st consecutive season of weekly racing track promotion by Kirkland and his family.
Staff has also sprinkled several marquee events throughout the schedule including a 30-lap DIRTcar Northeast Sportsman-Modified tour date Saturday, May 24th, Empire Super Sprint Car stops Saturday, June 21st and August 2nd.
The 2025 roster wraps-up with the Dirt Outlaw Apparel Fall Nationals. For the first time since 2019, the Super DIRTcar Big Block Series returns for a 100-lapper Friday, October 17th. Saturday, October 18th the headline attraction is the 100-lap Mr. DIRTcar 358 Modified Championship event, paying $10,000 to win.
