Column By: CHARLES WISLER / RPW – NICHOLS, SC – Lake View Motor Speedway roared to life on Saturday night, hosting its inaugural Street Stock Jamboree to a packed house.

The highly anticipated feature race saw Ethan Wilson pilot the #5 machine, owned by Earl Petty, from his fourth-place starting position to a hard-fought victory.

The caution-filled event kept fans on the edge of their seats as 22 of the 29 cars that entered battled for the $5,000 purse, generously sponsored by Christina Steel Corporation.

The Street Stock Jamboree was just one highlight of a night that saw over 100 cars fill the pit area. The grandstands were overflowing, with some spectators resorting to roadside parking to witness the action.

Charles Nicholson delivered an impressive performance in the Stock V8 feature, charging from third on the grid to claim the win.

This season marks a significant step for Lake View Motor Speedway as they have become INEX sanctioned, allowing them to host the popular INEX Legend cars. The Legend car feature proved to be a nail-biter, with Tristen Stephenson leading the field from the drop of the green flag. However, he had to fend off relentless challenges from Tyler Sealey and Austin Neighbors throughout the entire race, ultimately securing the victory.

Kyle Whitney emerged victorious in the NE Sportsman Modifieds, adding another thrilling chapter to the evening’s racing program. Benji Thompson proved dominant in the Carolina Outlaw Super Streets, capturing a decisive win.

The Late Model feature saw veteran racer “Wild Child” Willy Milliken finally break through for a well-deserved victory. Known for his talent and often contending for wins, Milliken’s triumph was a popular one among the enthusiastic crowd.

The track crew worked diligently throughout the night, ultimately beating the weather as the final checkered flag waved just moments before rain began to fall in the area, capping off a successful and exciting night of racing at Lake View Motor Speedway
