CDRA’s Second Points Race Of ’25 Set To Roll Sunday At Glen Ridge Motorsports Park
Story By: CAPITAL DISTRICT RACING ASSOCIATION – FULTONVILLE, NY – Sunday night, at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park things are going to get wild in the chase for the 2025 JAM Performance & Consulting CDRA Racing Series points championship presented by Elmo’s Speed Supply.
It’s part of a huge night featuring the DIRTcar East Sportsman Modified tour along with 358 Modifieds, Pro Stock, Mini Stock, Limited Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Sling Shots.
Hayes Trucking & Excavating is presenting the DIRTcar East Sportsman Modified tour, plus the weekly racing divisions while JAM Performance and Elmo’s Speed Supply present the CDRA series as big contributors to the point fund. Racing this evening for Sportsman Modifieds will follow the DIRTcar format including timed hot laps, heat races, and last chance qualifiers to set the starting field for the A-Main titled Quarter Mile Mayhem.
Glen Ridge will graciously host the CDRA Sportsman Modified Series for a third time on Sunday June 1st. The Fultonville, NY facility has seen drivers Cody Ochs and Zach Buff claim CDRA points paying wins, while their home track peer Taylor Wason went on to win the series championship in season one (2024).
In last season’s spring CDRA points paying race at Glen Ridge, it was indeed Cody Ochs wheeling his Next Generation Services, Pheasant Hollow, and Rob Albreada Snap-On Tools Bicknell Racing Chassis number 33 to a big win that also counted as a DIRTcar East Sportsman victory. Dylan Nichols, Dale Robinson, Jason Gray, and Brendan Gibbons rounded out the top five.
As reported previously by CDRA, point leader Chris Jakubiak was excited to win a series race, but work commitments, time, and resources may hinder his opportunity to join the tour at Glen Ridge to keep his point lead. We appreciate his kind words about CDRA, and we’ll see him at the Malta events. Then again, he might surprise everyone and show up at the fastest quarter mile on dirt.
“It’s going to be wild Sunday at the ridge. There will be a points shakeup, our defending champ is busting ass to overcome adversity during his title defense, and Tim Hartman Jr. is coming to race at Glen Ridge for the first time since 2018. I can’t wait to congratulate the winner and see who the movers and shakers are in the title chase,” said competition director Rob Hazer.
UP NEXT FOR CDRA: After Quarter Mile Mayhem Sunday at Glen Ridge, CDRA heads back to the great race place Albany-Saratoga Speedway for ‘The Flying Trowel 32’ Sportsman Modified special during a celebration of life for promoter Lyle DeVore’s father on Stan The Man night.
CDRA is a nostalgic throwback to the CVRA days. A series designed specifically for Capital District racing. Season two schedule consists of a diverse schedule at storied dirt tracks like the great race place, the fastest quarter mile on dirt, and the valley of speed. Drivers who do travel the Capitaland will earn hardware and some green for their efforts.
