Story By: TIM BALTZ / JESSICA POWER RACING – KINGSTON, ONT. – It’s been a couple of seasons since Kingston Ontario’s Jessica Power has turned laps behind the wheel of a DIRTcar Modified, but thanks to a recent partnership between JPR Racing and Jenik Racing out of Trois Rivieres Quebec, Power will return to the seat for a pair of events on the Super DIRTcar Series.

Jenik Group, which specializes in the rental of bucket and platform units, has teamed up with JPR Racing to compete in the upcoming O’Canada 100 at the Cornwall Motor Speedway on Sunday June 29th and the Summer Shootout 75 for the Super DIRTcar Series, at the Mohawk International Raceway on Monday June 30th.

Power, who has seen success at both race tracks, is looking forward to the opportunity to not only be back in a Modified, but be somewhat close to home, with each track located a little over an hour and a half away from her home in the Limestone City.

Power will campaign the number 35 Modified entry for car owner Francois Bellemare, who has a wealth of knowledge behind the wheel in Big Block and 358
Modifieds and looks forward to giving Power the tools and resources to have a successful outing at both events.

Power, has plenty of laps around both tracks, with two career DIRTcar Sportsman wins at Cornwall and a top 10 finish in DIRTcar Sportsman Series action in 2018 at
Mohawk. She’s hoping the recent success will give the team some confidence heading into both races.

JPR Racing already has a busy schedule, which includes weekly racing at Can Am Speedway and Brockville Ontario Speedway Friday and Saturday nights, along
with a full effort on the DIRTcar Sportsman Series in 2025. Adding these events is something the team was hoping to see and is ready for the challenge of helping
get prepared for both races.

Bellemare and Power both know the competition on Super DIRTcar Series is incredibly tough, but hopes to make the show and have solid outings, which could possibly lead to more opportunities for Power to run more events in the future. Her and the JRP Racing Team thank Bellemare and the Jenik Group, for the chance to showcase her talents in these upcoming major events, as Power hopes to make the jump to the Modified ranks very soon.
