Logan Wagner Gets First 410 Sprint Win Of 2025 At Port Royal Speedway Saturday

Story By: BRAD STRAWSER / PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY – PORT ROYAL, PA – In Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprint car competition at Port Royal Speedway Saturday night, Logan Wagner would go from his seventh starting spot to the front in ten laps and would lead the remaining fifteen to claim his first win at Port Royal in 2025.
Jake Karklin and Derek Hauck comprised the front row of the 25 lap A-main event with Karklin taking the lead on the opening circuit.
Karklin’s lead however was not long lived as Gerard McIntyre Jr., piloting the number 33, would take the top spot in turn one at the start of the third lap.
Quickly following the lead change, a caution flag would come out for Dan Shetler who came to a stop in turns three and four. Wagner had quickly worked his way up to the third spot by this time.
Once the green flag was waved back to the field, Wagner would begin to work on Karklin for the second spot, taking it away from him in the first corner with twenty laps remaining.
Both McIntyre and Wagner would work around the top side of the corners over the next five laps, with the greater speed favoring the 55 of Wagner.
As the drivers would go into turn one with 15 laps remaining, Wagner would slide from the bottom to the top in front of McIntyre to take the lead, and he would set sail around The Speed Palace to take the win, notching his 23rd in his career.
Lance Dewease, who started in the eighth position, would claim the runner up spot and Justin Whittall, who started ninth, would finish in third.
Doug Hammaker would put together an impressive performance to earn Ramsey’s Car Wash hard charger honors going from 18th to 7th, while the 17 pill was drawn in victory lane giving the J&S Classics Warrior Award to Kody Lehman worth $1,000.
Port Royal Speedway will be back in competition on Saturday June 14th for the Ron Zimmerman Tribute Race for the Zimmerman Truck Repair limited late models who will be competing for $6,000 to win as well as Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprint cars on the card.
