Port Royal Speedway Hosts 14th Annual Blue Collar Classic This Saturday Featuring Keystone RaceSaver Challenge And Ron Zimmerman Tribute Race
Story By: BRAD STRAWSER / PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY – PORT ROYAL, PA – Port Royal Speedway welcomes fans and race teams this Saturday, June 28, for the 14th Annual “Blue Collar Classic.”
This season’s “Blue Collar Classic” got bigger following the postponement of the “Ron Zimmerman Tribute Race Presented by Zimmerman Truck Repairs” originally scheduled on June 14th, moving the event to June 28th. The evening will now be headlined with the Keystone RaceSaver Challenge for the 305 Sprint Cars, featuring group time trials and a stout field of RaceSaver competitors from across the region, and the highest paying race limited late models in the area, with a $6,000 top prize on the line and a total purse of $17,100. Rounding out the card will be the always exciting wingless sportsman division, bringing their classic thrills to the Speed Palace.
Many local sponsors have come on to support this event including River Valley Builder for the Pa Sprint Series as well as their support to their series all season long. Sponsors for the limited late models and the Ron Zimmerman Tribute Race include JPH Enterprise, Zimmerman Truck Lines, Metzler Forest Products, Buttonwood Campground, The Lake Dealerships, Zook’s Masonry, and Juniata Concrete.
