Story By: RACE OF CHAMPIONS – OHSWEKEN, ON – The Race of Champions Dirt 602 Sportsman Modified Series will make its long-awaited return to the world-class Ohsweken Speedway in Ontario, Canada, this Friday, August 1, for the second race of its 2025 season. The event is part of “Strode’s BBQ & Deli & Electromart presents the Noelle Teal Memorial Night at the Races” — a marquee night on the Ohsweken calendar.

Cody McPherson of St. Catharines, Ontario, the defending Series champion, enters the event as the most recent winner after capturing the season opener in May.

“We’re looking forward to Friday night,” said McPherson. “Ohsweken is always a highlight for us — it’s a first-class facility and a place we really enjoy racing at. Hopefully, we can carry the momentum from our season opener and end up where we started: in victory lane. It should be a great race.”

The Race of Champions Dirt 602 Sportsman Modified Series has become a cornerstone in the Northeast’s dirt racing landscape, known for its competitiveness, parity, and as a launchpad for emerging talent. Ohsweken Speedway, one of the premier dirt venues in North America, has hosted the Series since its inception in 2016. Its progressive banking, smooth racing surface, and professional operation make it a favorite among both fans and drivers.

Friday’s event will feature qualifying and main events for the Race of Champions Dirt 602 Sportsman Modified Series, as well as a full card of Ohsweken’s weekly divisions.
