Story By: DOUG ROSE / BRIDGEPORT MOTORSPORTS PARK – SWEDESBORO, NJ – Sammy Martz, Jr. learned from previous experience and raced to his first win of the season on the High Banks of the Bridgeport Motorsports Park on CAR Tools night at the track.
Ronnie Solomon, III found his way back to the Insta Signs Plus Victory Lane in a Ice Less 602 Sportsman feature riddled with caution flags and restarts.  JR Fulper took the lead in the Victory Fuel Wingless Sprints as he raced Wayne Scott to the checkered flag.  Kevin Heckman held off the challenges of Spider Ensinger, Jr. to win his first ever feature event in the Insta Signs Plus Street Stocks.
Brian Papiez and Ryan Krachun led the field to the green in the Danny’s Pizza Pizzazz Modified feature with Papiez leading the way through the first nine laps.  Krachun raced in the leader’s tracks until he was able to take the lead on lap ten.
With Krachun out in front, Martz, Jr. was picking his way through the top five, moving up to second on lap fourteen.  Two restarts on lap fifteen gave Martz two different looks at the lead.  Krachun took the outside for the first but then switched to the inside on the next attempt.  Martz was ready and came away with the lead.
Lap sixteen saw a three wide battle for second as Krachun, HJ Bunting and Dillon Steuer raced for position.   Krachun took the spot with Steuer challenging. With ten laps to go Martz, Jr. led Keachun, Steuer, Bunting and Sam Martz, Sr. who was battling with Cale Ross for fifth.
Ross took fifth on lap twenty-three as Steuer was still working the inside to challenge Krachun for second.
The caution waved on the final lap when Blaine Bracelin slowed with a tire issue. It was a one lap shootout for the win with Martz, Jr. taking the checkered.  Steuer took second over Krachun, Bunting and Ross.  Martz, Sr. finished sixth followed by Stan Frankenfield, Mike Lisowski, Brandon Grosso and Mike Franz.
Ronnie Solomon, III led every lap to win his second Ice Less 602 Sportsman feature of the season.   And don’t be fooled by his starting position  – Solomon led the way through more than a dozen restarts, driving away each time.
Current point leader, Joe Toth made some late race moves to finish second.  Luke Bunting finished third followed by Travis Hill and Jesse Hill.  Trent Willey finished sixth after running among the top five for most of the race.  Jesse Hirthler gained several spots in the final laps to finish seventh over Charley Cossaboone, Jax Yohn and Matt Peck.
JR Fulper saved his best for last as he raced to the win in the Victory Fuel Wingless Sprints for his second win of the season.   Fulper made the change from a Modified to a wingless sprint for the 2025 season.
Wayne Scott is a recent addition to this division and was enjoying his best outing to date as he led from the start.  Fulper moved into second on lap four and chased Scott throughout the race.
Fulper had looked to the inside several times but on the last lap and the final corners, he went to the outside and won the drag race to the checkered.
Scott finished second for his best effort to date.  Dan Leaper finished third over Stan Ploski III and defending champion, Brian Spencer.
The Insta Sign Plus Street Stocks saw Kevin Heckman race to his first ever win.  Gary Bozowski led the first two laps with Heckman leading laps three and four.  Mike Hughes took over on lap five but his race ended with a mechanical failure on lap nine. Heckman regained the lead and then held off the challenges of Spider Ensinger, Jr.  Nick Sandone took over third from Borowski late in the race.
270 Micro Sprint Champion, Alex Swift took his first ride in a Vintage Modified
