Billy Dunn Strengthen Points Lead with Fulton Speedway Win

Billy Dunn came into Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway the Tracey Road DIRTcar Modified points leader. With his feature win he now has a 72-point cushion over Tim Sears Jr. with two races left to crown a track champion.
Dunn would take the lead in the 35-Lap Modified feature on lap 27 from his ninth starting spot. Once out front, Dunn was not challenged the rest of the way.
Other winners on OneGroup, Ehrlich Pest Control & Universal Metal Works night. Jason Parkhurst Jr. (DOT Foods DIRTcar Sportsman) Parker Fowler (E & V Energy Novice Sportsman) Aidan Galvin (Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux Hobby Stocks) Jaedon McDowell [ (AmeriCU Credit Union Mod Lites Beast of the East).
Jordan Bennett and Sean Beardsley brought the Modified feature down to the green with Bennett grabbing the early advantage in the 35-Lap feature.
On lap 10 Chris Mackey would use an outside power move to drive by Bennett and into the lead with Milton Cat yellow on lap 12 and 13. Mackey, Marshall Hurd, Beardsley, and Billy Dunn were the top five for the restart.
When the race reached the halfway point Mackey held a narrow lead over Hurd with Beardsley, Bennett, Dunn, and Pat Ward third through fifth.
On lap 20 Dunn worked his way into second and then set his sights on Mackey.
Dunn was a rocket ship on the bottom reeling in Mackey and took the lead exiting turn four on lap 27.
Once out front nobody seriously challenged Billy Dunn the rest of the way for his second win of the year. Chris Mackey, Sean Beardsley, Pat Ward, and Larry Wight completed the top five.
Austin Harmer would jump out to the early lead in the 25-Lap DOT Foods DIRTcar Sportsman feature with racing behind him was two and three wide.
Milton Cat caution would come on lap 3 with Joe Kline taking the lead on the restart with Jason Parkhurst driving into the lead after a lap 4 caution.
With 10 laps showing on the scoring tower Parkhurst leading by over one-second as Teddy Clayton, Dave Moyer, Kline, and division points leader Emmett Waldron raced for top five positions.
Parkhurst and Clayton were the top two out front with 10 laps to go with Dave Moyer, Waldron, and Jimmy Moyer showing on the scoring tower as the final laps started clicking off.
Over the final laps Jason Parkhurst Jr. drove away from the field for his first win of the year at the speedway. Teddy Clayton, Dave Moyer, Emmett Waldron, and Jimmy Moyer finished second through fifth.
Thirty-one cars signed into pits for race two AmeriCU Credit Union Mod Lites Beast of the East.
Jaedon McDowell made the long tow from Tennessee worth it as he dominated the 25-Lap feature. The racing behind him was tight with Joe Isabell, Kyle Demo, Brandon Dennis, and Justin Williams completing the top five.
Parker Fowler was on rails in the 15-Lap E & V Energy Novice Sportsman feature leading every lap. Bodie Marks, Jacob Gurecki, Rick Kinney, and Kaylie Harris finished second through fifth.
Aidan Galvin won his first Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux Hobby Stock feature holding off the division heavy hitters. Lanson Albanese, Ron Hawker, John Pietrowicz, and Adam Hunt.
