Story By: TIM BALTZ / BROCKVILLE ONTARIO SPEEDWAY – BROCKVILLE, ON – It was a night to remember for Brockville’s Jarrett Herbison as he parked his K38 in victory lane Saturday night, for his first DIRTcar 358 Modified win at The BOS.

The win was extra special for Herbison. Not only did he win in front of his proud family, but it was a bit of redemption, as in 2022 Herbison crossed the line first but came up just short of the minimum weight requirement at the scales.

This past Saturday Herbison charged to the front and battled with two time winner Gabriel Cyr in the first portion of the race, before taking over the top spot on lap 15, using the outside of the speedway.

Once in front Herbison was in control but was not home free right away. Herbison battled Cedric Gauvreau over the closing laps to secure his first Brockville win, to go along with his first career 358 Modified win he got this year the Memorial Cup at the Mohawk International Raceway in May.

The win is significant as it locks him into the historic Outlaw 200 358 Modified feature at the end of September at the Fulton Speedway. Herbison has experience on the high banks in the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series and will look to test his talents for the very first time in the 200 lap contest.

Canadian drivers have faired very well in the 200 over the years with Mat Williamson winning the event twice, including last season and Herbison knows, with a good car he could have a shot at the big trophy and check this fall.
