Louie Jackson Jr Wins Second 358 Modified Feature of 2025 at Cornwall

Story By: MARTIN BELANGER / CORNWALL SPEEDWAY – CORNWALL, ON – After a week off because of inclement weather, the Cornwall Motor Speedway was back in action on JLB Heating and Cooling Night as it was qualifying night in the 358-Modifieds, Sportsman and Mini-Stock for the Canadian Super DIRT Weekend and a special 2 X 15 laps paying $500 each. The Street Stock division was also in town.

Louie Jackson took the lead in the JLB Heating and Cooling 358-Modified feature over Joey Ladouceur and Ryan Stabler. Jackson in the lead with brothers Joey and Lee Ladouceur following the leader. As Jackson led the way a lot of movement behind him as Ryan Stabler moved to second and Corey Wheeler in third by halfway point. Wheeler was able to pass Stabler for second with 6 laps to go. Jackson led the feature wire to wire and got his second feature of the season over Wheeler and Joey Ladouceur.

The Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman Feature saw Jeffrey Lapalme taking the lead over Elliot Gamache and Bobby Herrington. Lapalme was quick in front as Herrington moved to second on lap 2. Caution was out on lap 4 as Brennan Moore slowed down. Lapalme and Herrington went into battle for the lead as Herrington was the new leader with Tristan Ladouceur in third. Herrington led the final laps and won his first feature over Tristan Ladouceur and Lapalme.

Adrian Black took the lead in 25-lap Ricks Ranch Mini-Stock with Travis Lamarche in second and Sebastien Raymond-Beauregard in third. The leaders quickly got into lap traffic as Raymond-Beauregard took the lead on lap 9. Caution was out at halfway point. A great battle for the lead between Beauregard and Lamarche for the lead as both drivers exchanged the lead, Lamarche took the lead with 5 laps to go and kept the lead and won his second feature of the season over Black who passed Raymond-Beauregard for second.
In the 25-lap Street Stock feature, Tyler French took the lead with Vincent Charbonneau in second and Stephane Philippe in third. Charbonneau took the lead over French on the 2nd lap. Caution was out on lap 5. Charbonneau back in the lead. Charbonneau kept the lead over Philippe and Charles Marchand. Caution was out for Stephane Philippe as we were running in second with 5 laps to go. Charbonneau led the final laps to get his first win in Cornwall.

In the first 15-lap Fun Zone Party Inflatables Novice Sportsman, Lea-Jeanne Lauziere led the first two laps as an accident involving 8-9 cars slowed the field in turn 4, most of them were able to continue the feature. Lea-Jeanne Lauziere led the whole event and won his first ever feature in Cornwall over Christopher Cordeau and Shaun Lafave.
In the second 15-lap Fun Zone Party Inflatables Novice Sportsman with Kyle Kudrinko the leader. Kudrinko led wire to wire and got the win over Chris Wilson and Chris Cordeau.
A very big Sunday next weekend cap off the 2025 regular season with championship night as we will crown our 2025 champions! Also, the Fat Les Chip Stands Canadian Nationals Modified Series, Lamoureux Pumping Sportsman Series, PM Promotions Pro-Stock Series and Weekend Warriors Mini-Stock Series.
