Story By: JEFF AHLUM / GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY – BECHTELSVILLE, PA – The weather may be hot, and so is the racing action, with another entertaining night of racing planned for Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.

Grandview Speedway will be presenting a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program this week featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds, the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman along with another visit by the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars.

The show on Saturday, August 16 will include qualifying events leading into a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature, a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman, and a 15-lap feature for the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars.

Also this Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the weekly Low Down and Dirty meet and greet hosted by Brittany Huber. The drivers scheduled to participate this week include Kenny Bock, Addison Meitzler and Junior Mikosz.

The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area starting at 5 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway.

Saturday night’s program will also see the monthly fan participation Trivia night contest, where questions about Grandview Speedway racing will be asked, and fans will be able to win some cool prizes, tickets for upcoming race events, or gift cards. The trivia night contests continue to be very popular again this season.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

With the completion of the mid-summer classic Forrest Rogers Memorial, attention will now build to the 55th annual Freedom 76 T.P. Trailer Modified championship weekend on September 19 & 20.

The Freedom weekend of racing will include the 12th annual Freedom 38 T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman Championship on Friday, September 19, in addition to rounds of Modified practice for the following day’s Freedom 76 championship race.

Then on Saturday, September 20 will be the presentation of the 55th annual Freedom 76 Modified Classic for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds, competing in their longest and most lucrative race event of the season.

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will be racing for extra money during the Freedom 38, as Roy Miller II of Keller Williams Real Estate will be sponsoring a Cash Dash with a total payout of $500!

Lap sponsorships, at $20 per lap, are now available for the September 20 running of the Freedom 76 T.P. Trailer Modified Championship race. It is a great way to wish your favorite driver good luck or advertise a business during the big race event.
