Story By: NATHAN ALDRICH / PENN-CAN SPEEDWAY – SUSQUEHANNA, PA – Brian Malcolm made a long anticipated return to Victory Lane Friday night at the Penn-Can Speedway. Malcolm is eyeing the championship sitting second in points with one week remaining. Starting from the outside pole Malcolm powered past Ales Stanton into the first turn and led every lap to secure the checkered flag.

Darwin Greene has been hot lately and continued in the feature getting within a car length of Malcolm nearing the race’s halfway point. Point leader Justin Holland chased down Greene with ten laps to go but couldn’t complete the pass for second. With only 6 laps remaining Holland slowed before heading pitside with a right rear flat. Under caution Greene headed pitside with a flat of his own, moving Alan Rudalavage to second. Rudalavage drove hard into the first turn, as the car looped around. Rudalavage aced the restart with Kevin Hartnett in tow as Alex Stanton, Dennis Clapperton and John Michael Phillips completed the top 5. Justin Holland will look to preserve a 70 point lead in this Friday’s Championship Night Showdown.
