Story By: JIM CLARKE / BROCKVILLE ONTARIO SPEEDWAY – BROCKVILLE, ON – Wheels are turning. Excitement is building. Anticipation is growing.
Southeastern Ontario race fans are already counting the days ‘til the Super DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds return to Brockville Ontario Speedway. For the first time since 2019, the crowd favourite tour will be part of the line-up for the Dirt Outlaw Apparel Fall Nationals at the popular oval on Temperance Lake Road.
This year’s opening night schedule – Friday, October 17th – will feature the Surprenant Truck Shop Crate Sprints, Mini Stock and Vintage Mods. Super DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds will be the headliner, with a 100 lap ‘A’ main, paying $ 10,000 to win.
Canandaigua, New York’s Alex Payne has held the hot hand at The BOS, taking the checkered flag in September of 2024 and in July – the last 2 Big Block tour stops – at Brockville.
In addition to Payne, recent DIRTcar Northeast Hall of Famer Tim Fuller’s name is also on the winner’s list. The driver of the No. 19 used the track’s outside line to perfection on his way to the 2023 triumph.
“As the first tour date following Super Dirt Week, we’re in a very good position,” explained Brockville Ontario Speedway track owner and promoter Paul Kirkland. “Teams could be looking to bounce back after a rough run at Dirt Week or like Tristan Draper in 2024, they could use a solid Fall Nationals’ performance as a career stepping stone heading into the next season of action.”
Draper was 4th in the 2024 Small Block Modified standings and collected a $10,000 payday at last year’s running of the Fall Nationals. That win was a springboard to his 2025 track championship and a 3rd place showing in the Ogilvie’s Auto & Fleet Triple Crown Series. His younger brother Kalen had an opening night win at the 2024 Fall Nationals and was 4th in this year’s overall standings.
The green flag for this year’s edition of the Dirt Outlaw Apparel Fall Nationals will be unfurled Friday, October 17th at 6:00 with a line-up that includes the Surprenant Truck Shop Crate Sprints, Mini Stock and Vintage Modifieds. The headliner will be a 100-lap feature tilt for the Super DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds.
