RPW Exclusive: Kolby Schroder Ready to Tackle Super DIRT Week 53 at Oswego Speedway
RPW Exclusive Column By: Stephen Durham / RPW – OSWEGO, NY –
It has been nearly a month since Kolby Schroder pulled into victory lane at Lebanon Valley Speedway, winning the 2025 Mr. DIRT Track USA against the invading Super DIRTcar Series. With that win, it gave Schroder a guaranteed starting spot for Super DIRT Week at Oswego Speedway. That night, Schroder wasn’t sure at the moment if he and his team would take a swing at the “Clay Palace”. After discussions and thoughts with his team, they are getting ready for Super DIRT Week 53.

“It’s a race we’ve always wanted to do, and we’re not sure if there will ever be a better time to do it,” Schroder says, “so we talked to all our sponsors and crew guys, and everyone has pitched in to make it a reality. Now we’re in preparation to get everything ready.”
After a couple of weeks off, the win for Kolby Schroder and his team is still soaking it all up.
“It was a really big win for our entire crew. Steve Daniels and my dad were very excited, and probably took a couple days for it to fully set in,” Schroder explains “I was as happy for them, my crew, and sponsors, as I was for myself.”
Schroder has been a regular at Lebanon Valley Speedway since 2012 with the DIRTcar big block modifieds, but has yet to make any attempts at Super DIRT Week between the Syracuse Mile and now Oswego
“It’s been too much of a financial commitment with our small team. But with the guaranteed spot we decided to give it a go,” explains Schroder as he gets his trailer ready for the big race week, “going to a track we’ve never run, it’s peace of mind to know we’ll be in the feature representing our team and sponsors no matter what.”

Schroder mentioned previously the night of Mr. DIRT Track USA that he’d be helping out Marc Johnson, but now they are teaming up together to tackle Super DIRT Week 53.
“We’re going to be pitting together and helping each other throughout the week,” Schroder says, “It will be nice to have the input from a driver who’s done very well at Super Dirt Week before.”
During the 2025 season, Schroder was a weekly regular at the sister track, Albany-Saratoga Speedway on Friday nights, and then obviously Lebanon Valley Speedway. Schroder and his team decided on bringing their Albany-Saratoga modified to Super DIRT Week.
“We will be doing a complete run through of everything on the car making sure it’s in tip top shape,” Schroder says, “we’ll be relying on our knowledge from Albany Saratoga, help from Bicknell, and a few of our racing friends to get us pointed in the right direction to hopefully have a good run.”
Schroder and his team behind him are ready for the battle and task at hand, but are looking forward to being a part of Super DIRT Week for the first time.
“Our #1 goal is to finish the race, since we’ve never done a 200 lap race before. Realistically our goal is to enjoy the week with our crew, and just appreciate being part of Super Dirt Week for the first time,” Schroder explains.
For Schroder overall, he is really looking forward to be at Oswego Speedway in October, and asked him what he looks forward to most.
“All of it. We just want to appreciate the whole week and take it all in,” Schroder says with a laugh.
For Schroder, his team, and supporters around him, it has been a long season, as is for any race team. In 2025, Schroder won at Albany-Saratoga Speedway and Lebanon Valley Speedway, closing it out winning Mr. DIRT Track USA . He says it all wouldn’t be possible without his team.

“It’s a testament to how much work our crew puts in every week, and all the support we have from our sponsors,” Schroder says proudly, “it’s been a great year, and we’ve learned a lot. I appreciate all the help that I get from everyone involved.”
Schroder wanted to give a special thanks to those that continue to be right there for him.
“A huge thank you to Steve Daniels and my dad, Jim. Without them, none of this would be possible. Thank you to our sponsors: HWS, Fortitude, Rhinebeck Kitchen & Bath, Vieira Landworks & Trucking, H&N Towing, Phil’s Auto, Munson Satellite, JD Automotive, NAPA, Andy’s Speed Shop, Bedell Racing Engines, and Northeast Ford,” Schroder says proudly.
Super DIRT Week gets going with tech inspection Monday. October 6th, then on Wednesday, on track action heats up following the City of Oswego Parade. Practice and qualifying for the DIRTcar Pro Stocks, 358 modifieds, followed by qualifying races later Wednesday night.
