The Time is Now… Super Late Models Debut at Action Track USA This Sunday, Sept. 7
Story By: BARRY ANGSTADT / ACTION TRACK USA – KUTZTOWN, PA – The wait is almost over…
The highly anticipated, long awaited debut of the Super Late Models at Action Track USA takes place this Sunday, September 7. It will be the third event in the Fall Clash Series presented by Bernheisel Race Components and Lazer Chassis. The Fall Clash boasts an impressive point fund, with the champion of the nine-race series pocketing a hefty $10,000.
The race at Berks County’s Baddest Bullring, located on the Kutztown Fairgrounds, will award show-up points. But it’s 500 show-up points, making it almost impossible to skip for the drivers who are serious about chasing that $10,000 Champion’s check.
Mason Zeigler, from Uniontown, PA captured the first Fall Clash event at Bedford Speedway last Friday. York’s Rick Eckert finished second in that one–and Eckert is a four-time winner in SpeedSTR competition at Action Track USA, so he knows his way around the ultra-racey, progressively banked speedway.
Bryan Bernheisel got some laps under his belt earlier this summer, when he trailered his No. 119 to Kutztown for a few practice sessions during a weekly show. Bernheisel finished fifth at Bedford, and the Jonestown, PA hot shoe is always a contender when he shows up at a Super Late Model event.
Joining the Super Late Models on Sunday’s card will be the ever-popular Hyper Racing 600 Sprints, with newly crowned point champion Tim Buckwalter of Douglassville, PA leading the way.
There will be a matinee program beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. For the first time, the Pro 4 Series will compete at Action Track USA. The Four-Cylinder Stock Car group brings a competitive field that produces entertaining racing. Joining the Pro 4 squad will be the All Star and Junior Slingshots.
Pits and grandstand will open at noon for the matinee program. Pit passes are good for the afternoon and evening shows, and grandstand admission is free for the afternoon portion.
Pit gates will reopen at 4:30 for the evening’s Super Late Model and 600 Sprint event. Grandstand gates swing open at 5 p.m. Cars will be on the track at 6:30 p.m.
Adult general admission is $30, with a $2 discount for Seniors. Youth between the ages of six and 12 are $10, while children five and under are admitted FREE of charge.
The final event of the 2025 season at Action Track USA is also Lost Speedways Night, honoring the memory Flemington Speedway. Several drivers who turned thousands of laps on “the Square” will be on hand for Sunday evening’s program. Jimmy Horton, Kenny Brightbill, Billy Pauch Sr., and Sammy Beavers are just some of the Flemington legends who are expected to attend.
A date that was circled on many calendars, months and months ago, is finally here. The Super Late Models are comin’ to Kutztown’s Action Track USA on Sunday, September 7!
