POWER SURGE: Jessica Power Concludes Bounce-Back 2025 Campaign on a High Note
RPW Exclusive By: DYLAN TERRY / RPW – WATERTOWN, NY – The checkered flag on the 2025 racing season has now flown here in the Northeast, and one driver who quietly endured a very successful season was DIRTcar Sportsman driver Jessica Power.
Jessica closed out the season in thrilling fashion; as she scored perhaps the biggest victory of her career a few weeks ago at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, taking home the victory and the $5,000 grand prize in the VP Racing Fuels DIRTcar Sportsman division during the World Short Track Championship.
Achieving a victory at “America’s Home for Racing” was a goal that the JPR team had been so close to achieving in recent seasons, having finished 3rd at Charlotte in 2023, and backing that up with a 2nd place finish last year.
“It’s just surreal, of all the wins I’ve had, this will be the most special ever” stated an elated Jessica in victory lane.
Ending the season with that victory was just icing on the cake for the #52. Jessica had one of her most successful seasons to date locally as well.
She captured feature victories at both of her home tracks, the Can-Am Speedway and Brockville Ontario Speedway. Her victory at Can-Am was her first win at the LaFargeville, NY oval since 2019, and her win at Brockville was her first at “The Bullring” since 2022.
Aside from the three victories, the JPR team also displayed a season-long model of consistency in the process. Jessica finished 2nd in the season-long standings at Brockville, and was 3rd in the season-long standings at Can-Am. In the DIRTcar Sportsman Series, she came home with a 5th place finish in the point standings against some of the best drivers in the region.
She tallied 48 feature starts throughout the year, which is the most the team has ever had in a season. She was able to come away with the aforementioned 3 victories, 19 Top Fives, and 39 Top Ten finishes. With a few 358 Modified/Super DIRTcar Series appearances sprinkled in, she was able to maintain an impressive average finish of 7.83 in all of her starts combined.
Another highlight of the team’s season came during Super Dirt Week. The #52 team qualified in the “Super Six” for the DIRTcar Sportsman division, which they hadn’t done since 2023. After rolling off the Great Lakes 75 feature from 5th, Jessica had made her way up to 2nd around Lap 25. She unfortunately fell off a bit towards the end of the feature and wound up finishing in 8th. This was still an improvement from 2024 when the team finished in 10th.
All in all, it was one of the most successful seasons in recent years for the #52. The JPR team now turns their attention to next season and hopes to continue building further on their recent success in 2026.
