Entry List Continues to Grow for DTD TV “Showdown in the Sunshine State” Event at All-Tech

Story By: MIKE MALLETT / DTDTV – LAKE CITY, FL – The winter racing season in Florida kicks into high gear as Dirt Track Digest TV brings fans the Showdown in the Sunshine State, set for February 4–7 at All-Tech Raceway.

The three-night racing showcase begins with practice on Wednesday, February 4, followed by three full nights of racing from February 5–7, featuring some of the best DIRTcar Modified and Sportsman competitors ready to shake off the offseason rust and chase early-season glory.

Headlining the weekend are the DIRTcar Modifieds, competing in 40-lap main events each night paying $5,000 to win. The Modified division is expected to draw a strong field, as several top teams have indicated they plan to make the trek to All-Tech Raceway.

Recently adding their names to the list is former Albany-Saratoga Speedway track champion and Australian native Peter Britten. Also joining the fold is Anthony Perrego. Perrego is a champion in his career at both the Orange County Fair Speedway and Accord Speedway.

Also adding their name to the lists are Pennsylvania drivers Alex Yankowski and Rick Laubach. Yankowski is the defending Fonda Speedway titlist as well as the winner of the Eastern States 200. Laubach is multi-time Pennsylvania and New Jersey champion looking for Florida glory at All-Tech.

Super DIRT Week champion as well as former Brewerton and Fulton Speedway champion Larry Wight will also make the trek to Lake City as he looks to add to his win total at the track. He’s always one to run strong in the Sunshine State.

Joining them on the program are the DIRTcar Sportsman, set for 25-lap feature events, giving fans a full slate of open-wheel action throughout the weekend.

Richard Murtaugh III is a former All-Tech winner and defending winner of the Great Lakes 75 at Oswego Speedway. He is joined by young gun Derrick McGrew Jr., a regular in the Capital District of New York is looking to claim Florida glory for the first time. .

Western Pa. standout Chas Wolbert comes in as the defending RUSH Sportsman Modified Weekly Series Championship along with his 1st “Route 7 Rumble” Series title. He’ll be searching for his first All-Tech win.

Hot laps begin each night at 6:15pm with racing slated for 7:00pm. Pit passes are $45 for each racing program.

Grandstands are just $10 on Thursday and Friday.  Grandstand admission on Saturday is $15.
