Keystone RaceSaver Challenge Returns to Port Royal Speedway June 27 with Unique Format Offering Up to $2,500 to Win

COLUMN BY: Brad Strawser / PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY – PORT ROYAL, PA  – The Keystone RaceSaver Challenge returns to Port Royal Speedway’s schedule on Saturday, June 27 as it brings some of the best RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car competitors in the region to “The Speed Palace.”

The annual Keystone RaceSaver Challenge has built a reputation for producing thrilling racing and, and this year’s event will once again feature a unique purse structure that gives drivers an opportunity to earn up to $2,500 for the victory.

Unlike the event’s traditional race purse, the winner’s payout increases based on their starting position in the A-Main. Drivers who start deeper in the field and race their way to victory can significantly boost their earnings, creating added incentive for competitors and excitement for fans.

A driver winning from the front row would earn $900, while those starting further back have the opportunity to earn progressively larger payouts. A driver who charges from the sixth row to victory lane could take home the event’s maximum winner’s share of $2,500.

The Keystone RaceSaver Challenge has consistently attracted outstanding car counts. Over the past six editions, the event has featured fields of around 40+ competitors, showcasing the popularity of the event among RaceSaver competitors throughout the Northeast.

Adding to the excitement is the event’s distinctive redraw procedure. Drivers qualifying for the redraw will have the opportunity to strategically select their starting positions. If a driver draws a particular number, they may either keep that position or choose any starting spot behind it. This unique format adds another layer of strategy and unpredictability to the race and helps create the exciting feature lineups the Keystone RaceSaver Challenge has become known for.
