Column By: TOM WENNER / RPW – SINKING SPRINGS, PA – Brad Brightbill successfully made the transition from 602 Crate Sportsman racing to Spec 358 Modified Racing in 2021.
Brad scored a popular win on August 28, 2021 at Grandview Speedway steering the potent Breitenstein Motorsports #14 Spec 358 Modified.
At the Pioneer Pole Building Motorsports Racecar & Trade Show Brad had a beautiful TEO Spec #19 Dirt Modified displayed in the Leindecker Racing Engines booth.
Brad has a strong season planned in 2022, and shared plans that he’ll focus on the Grandview Speedway every Saturday night. You will be able to find Brad once again steering the Breitenstein Motorsports #14 Spec 358 Modified each week.
On nights when the Breitenstein #14 is not available, You will be able to catch Brad towing his own TEO #19 358 Spec Modified.
Brightbill is planning to hit all of the Thunder on The Hill shows for Spec 358 Mods at Grandview. The TEO car, a former Jeff Strunk Keystone 126 Modified, was rebuilt and refreshed for the season. Brad shared that he feels that the car has plenty of speed and will be very competitive when called to duty.
The Black & Green paint on the TEO #19 is a head turner and Brightbill shared that he is not superstitious. He’s looking to buck the trend of racing with a green color on the car.
Brad is looking to do some traveling this season. He still has a 602 Crate Sportsman car ready to go at his shop and will be looking to hit the Brett Deyo Short Track Super Series South region events. He’s got Georgetown Speedway and Port Royal Speedway circled on his racing schedule this season with the 602.
On the tail of his TEO rear Deck Lid is some legendary signage – Brightbill’s Donkey Farm – We Haul Ass! This signage was on many of the Dirt Modifieds that his father, Kenny, campaigned at area tracks.
The Brightbill #19 is well supported in 22’.
