Story By: ANTHONY CORINI / QUACKENBUSH MOTORSPORTS – NEPTUNE CITY, NJ – The off-season was a busy one for Quackenbush Motorsports. David made the switch to 360 sprint car competition and Wayne Quackenbush hired Kyle Reinhardt and Chad Boespflug to shake down their 410.
Having the Reinhardt’s work on the car has been a tremendous help to David. The combination has tested at Susky and made their first URC start at Bedford and qualified for the feature. Friday night, David and the #91 headed to Williams Grove to compete with 36 of the top 360’s in the area.
David qualified through the heat race and avoided the B main in his first look at Williams Grove. “The car is much more comfortable since Kyle and his brother, Dave, have been helping us. I just need more laps at that place. By the time I was making some progress in the feature, the race was over.” Quackenbush said following Friday evening.
Now, the focus shifts back to the 410 operation with Reinhardt behind the wheel at Susquehanna on Thursday. The team will be making their third start at Susky this year with the two previous starts showing promise. In their first start at Susky, Reinhardt led a handful of laps before being on the wrong end of a slide job gone errand. The second start saw Reinhardt pilot the Capitol Renegade #91 from 22nd to ninth, capturing the hard charger award in the progress.
Wayne Quackenbush was quick to thank Capitol Renegade, Capitol Custom Trailers as well as Capitol Cadillac and Capitol Buick GMC for helping get the #91 to the track. Reinhardt couldn’t be more appreciative of his brother, Dave Reinhardt, for turning the wrenches as well as his parents for their continued support of his racing endeavors.
