Story By: CHARLIE LANGLOIS / FREEDOM MOTORSPORTS PARK – DELEVAN, NY – After the third rainout of the year last week, the Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds return to Freedom Motorsports Park on Friday, June 29.
Joining the Outlaw Modifieds on Sahlens Night will be the Dialed Designs DIRTcar Sportsman, the NY6A Micro Sprint Tour and the Danny Heineman & Sons Mini Stocks. The green flag is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Friday, June 29.
Bring your appetite on Friday as it will be buy one hot dog, get one free, brought to you by Sahlens, the official hot dog of Freedom Motorsports Park. The rainout last week forced the postponement of the third annual Barnacle Brothers Reclaimed Lumber Bixby Hill Shootout for the Cummings Trucking Street Stocks. The race has now been rescheduled for Friday, July 13, when the ULMS Super Late Models are in town. It will now pay $1000 to win as Dennis Cummings and Cummings Trucking have added dollars to the purse.
The first visit of the NY6A Micro Sprint Tour will be the kickoff of their Speedweek which will feature four races in five nights. Local sprint car ace Scott Kruetter was the most recent winner on the tour and is always a threat at Freedom Motorsports Park.
The Danny Heineman & Sons Mini Stocks will be racing for $300 to win this week.
The Freedom point leaders going into round five are Mat Williamson of St. Catharines, Ontario in the Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds, Brad Rouse of St. Catharines, Ontario in the Dialed Designs DIRTcar Sportsman, Bill Taylor of Arcade in the Cummings Trucking Street Stocks and Matt Mowery of Olean in the Danny Heineman & Sons Mini Stocks. Rouse is the only defending champion leading their division.
Bring the family out for a great night of racing at the area’s fastest 1/3 mile clay oval. Grandstands open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30. Adult grandstand admission is only $14, $13 for Seniors, $7 for Students (9-15) and kids under 8 are admitted free.
