“Unfortunately Mother Nature won out on June 1 when we had the 2nd Annual Gary Montgomery Event scheduled at the track, stated Tyler Siri Outlaw Speedway track owner. Fortunately we were able to secure a make-up date for the event on July 20, 2018 which will put the Crate Late Models squarely in the lime light. Vicki Emig, Mike Leone and all their staff and followers have done an absolutely fabulous job in making the Sweeney Chevrolet Rush Crate Late Models into one of the premier touring series not only in this area, but across the entire country. Gary Montgomery was very instrumental in turning many of the local 360 Late Models drivers into household names during his tenure with the BRP Can AM Series. Many of those same drivers are now the top runners in the Rush Crate Late Model Series. This is a perfect fit having Gary’s name tied in with an event of this magnitude.”
John Waters, Jason and Brian Knowles, Wayne Robertson, Steve LaBarron, Jeremy Wonderling and Chad Homan are just a few of the top guns that will be on hand at Outlaw on July 20 all looking for the Gary Montgomery Memorial 30 lap A Main win. Last years’ inaugural event was won by Canisteo, NY native, Bryce Davis in a real nail biter.
Free rides around the facility on the Outlaw Speedway Monster Truck, “Outlaw Crusher” will start at 5:30 pm and campers are encouraged to bring their rigs and set up at the track absolutely free of charge.
