Story By: DAN KAPUSCINSKI / JASON SIMMONS RACING – OSWEGO, NY – There is no off-season for Jason Simmons Racing and driver Tyler Thompson, as the duo prepares to take on The Gobbler at Accord Speedway this weekend before shifting back to karts for the New York State Indoor Championships in Syracuse.
This Saturday, November 24, Thompson will travel to Accord Speedway with his No. 98T Bicknell chassis Sportsman machine for the $1,000 to win Gobbler championship, fresh off of a victory in the All-Star Invitational Sportsman main at Charlotte Motor Speedway in October.
The 25-lap Sportsman contest will join a $5,000 to win Big Block/Small Block Modified championship as well as Street Stocks and 4-Cylinders. Hot laps are scheduled to begin at Noon on Saturday with racing at 1 p.m.
