Column By: ROBERT SYMONDS / RPW – WAVERLY, OH – A few weeks ago, news broke that Tim McCreadie would partner with Kevin Rumley to race the for non-sanctioned races in the famed Rumley Motorsports number 6 ousting Mike Marlar. The partnership was announced after Rumley came to help McCreadie with his Bilstein Shock program. Tonight the Rumley/McCreadie duo raced at the Atomic Speedway for the $10,000 to win Atomic 100.
With 30 cars taking time during qualifying, McCreadie sat 11th with a 13.567 second lap time, putting him nearly seven tenths off the top of the leader board. McCreadie struggled during his heat race event and finished 4th putting him in a 19th starting spot for the Atomic 100.
During the 100 lap event, McCreadie methodically worked his way from 19th to take the lead from Tyler Erb on lap 50. Though Kyle Strickler and Tyler Erb tried to get to by McCreadie, it would be to no avail as Tim McCreadie would park the Rumley #6 in Victory Lane for the Atomic 100; Kyle Strickler finished 2nd and Devin Moran finished 3rd.
