Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – After three full months of racing which has seen no less than five complete rainouts, Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter, Tyler Siri is hoping for a much better July and August weather wise.
“Things started off great in April as we got two of our biggest shows of the season in the books, then we took it on the chin two consecutive weeks with rain. We got rolling again with good weather and a great racing surface including the Short Track Super Series midweek show in May which turned out to be a phenomenal event. We then lost another night to Mother Nature, got a couple more into the books then another rain out, another show in then another washout so it has been a rollie coaster ride thus far. We’re hoping things will straighten out and we can get a run of good weekend weather for the next few months.” That according to Siri.
On Friday, July 9 it will be Boys and Girls Club Night at the historic Outlaw Speedway featuring a Super 7 Show with all of Outlaw’s regular weekly classes seeing action on the Fast 4/10 of a mile clay oval.
In addition, the Fireworks Extravaganza that was rained out on July 2 will now go off on July 9.
The Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Mighty Modifieds will headline the show along with the Lane’s Yamaha 360 Sprints. Also, on the card it will be the Sunrise Insulation American Racer Tire Sportsman as well as the companion Speed Connection DIRTcar Hoosier Tire Sportsman Division. The Stan’s No Tubes Street Stocks, the NAPA Hobby Stocks along with Winner’s Circle Deli Mini Stocks will complete the aggressive night of racing.
Fans and race teams are encouraged to keep an eye on Facebook for continual updates and any weather-related issues leading up to the night of action.
