Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – It is a great deal of sadness that Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter, Tyler Siri is making the announcement that his father, Ted recently passed away.
With his services being held in California at a time near when the Outlaw Speedway Awards Banquet is scheduled, the date of the annual affair has been changed from Saturday, January 22 to February 26, 2022.
“I not only lost my dad, but he was the tracks number one fan and my biggest supporter, stated Tyler Siri in a recent announcement regarding his father’s passing. Our family is originally from California, and we still have a lot of family and friends in that region, so we are having his services there. The only date we could get for the calling hours was too close to the date of the banquet, so I had to reschedule it back a month.”
The Saturday, February 26, 2022 date was the next possible open slot for the affair and everything will remain the same as originally planned with the top ten receiving money and awards as well as numerous additional special awards going out.
The location will not change as the Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen, NY will remain the site with a social hour beginning at 6:00 pm followed by a buffet style meal and awards.
Ticket prices are priced at $45/person with checks mailed to Outlaw Speedway, 1163 Hibbard Road, Horseheads, NY 14845.
For those who may have already secured a room at the Harbor Hotel for the night, please call and reschedule by phoning 1-607-535-6116.
Siri closed by saying, “This has been a rough stretch for me and my family. Dad was a great guy that had a lot of friends and a big family. We appreciate everyone’s understanding during this most difficult time.”
