Racers who plan to compete at any of the 13 registered American Racer Cup home tracks can now register for the upcoming season.
More than $51,000 in point fund money was distributed to American Racer Cup Modified and Crate 602 Sportsman competitors last season. Registered teams also shared in hundreds of tire certificate giveaways.
Sprakers, N.Y.’s Stewart Friesen secured the American Racer Cup top prize in the ’21 season, exactly 10 races at his registered home track of Fonda Speedway in Fonda, N.Y.
Friesen’s earnings for the ’21 American Racer Cup presented by Sunoco totaled $13,250 for his weekly racing at Fonda Speedway and Utica-Rome (N.Y.) Speedway.
Oneida, N.Y.’s Matt Janczuk was the Sportsman champion, winning nine times at Utica-Rome Speedway in Vernon, N.Y., to garner the $1,500 overall top prize and the North Region title upping his total to a cool $2,000.
Registered drivers for ’22 will be entered into the first tire giveaway taking place on Saturday, Jan. 22 during the Motorsports Race Car & Trade Show in Oaks, Pa. Two tires will be given away to Modified and Sportsman competitors via a random drawing shown on the American Racer Cup Facebook live.
Drivers will also be able to register at the Motorsports Race Car & Trade Show at the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco booth.
