Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – With the Annual Car Show now in the rear-view mirror, Tyler Siri and his staff at the Outlaw Speedway can focus their undivided attention to a pair of practice dates prior to the Lucas Oil Nationals season opener at the popular Yates County New York oval.
Saturday, April 2 along with Friday, April 8 is designated as the two dates for test and tune at the track. Racers from any division can come to the track and practice. You need not be an Outlaw Speedway regular competitor to use the facility for test and tune purposes.
Fans for both practice dates are admitted free into the grandstand seating area. Those entering the pits will be charged $25 to cover Insurance and overhead costs.
Both gate and practice times will be posted at www.Facebook.com/OutlawSpeedwayLLC/ as the dates draw closer. Any weather-related business and other news items of interest will also be placed on the tracks Facebook account as well.
For the Friday, April 8 practice it is anticipated that a larger than average number of drivers and cars will be at Outlaw for practice as the following day on Saturday, April 9 the track will swing the gates open for the Lucas Oil Nationals, the first actual race date of the 2022 season. Many will try and take advantage of the April 8 test and tune to put the finishing touches on their machines using a surface that will be like the one they will be racing on the next day.
For those wishing to come for practice or the Lucas Oil Nationals camping is free for every event.
The Outlaw Speedway Saloon in the pit area will be open including the scenic rooftop platform offering a breath- taking view of the Fast 4/10 of a mile clay oval.
