Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BRIAN BROWN RACING – GRAIN VALLEY, MO – Returning to competition for the first time since his Texas Two-Step weekend at Cotton Bowl Speedway, “Blackjack” Brian Brown is ready to get back behind the wheel, set to rejoin the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series for a two-race campaign through Oklahoma and Texas on Friday and Saturday, April 1-2.
Brown, driver of the Brian Brown Racing, Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Rowdy Energy, Ditzfeld transfer, Champion Brands, MC Power, Weld Wheels, Housby, Maxim Chassis, J.D. Welding & Machine, Waldinger, Smiley’s Racing Products, No. 21 sprint car, will follow the Greatest Show On Dirt to Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Oklahoma, on Friday, followed by a stop at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, on Saturday. Adding some luster to the weekend pair, Devil’s Bowl’s Texas Outlaw Nationals program will award a $20,000 top prize.
Although Brown is certainly no stranger to Devil’s Bowl, earning victories with the ASCS National Tour at the birthplace of the World of Outlaws, the Grain Valley, Missouri, native is inexperienced, in some respect, at Lawton Speedway; Brown has never made a 410 start at the southern Oklahoma venue.
“I’m looking forward to being back in the seat, as well as getting back to Smiley’s Racing Products country. They are a great partner and having the chance to race in their backyard is special to us,” Brian Brown said, who kicked-off his 2022 schedule with Florida starts at Volusia Speedway Park. “This will be my first time competing at Lawton Speedway with a 410 under the hood, so I’m excited for the opportunity to do so. Devil’s Bowl has a lot of history and we’re proud to have a few ASCS National Tour victories there. Our goal is to transfer that speed to the coming weekend and be strong right out of the box.”
