Story By: DAVE MEDLER / BREWERTON SPEEDWAY – BREWERTON, NY – When the race teams started the season at the Brewerton Speedway in early May, they were pointing to wins and track championships after an off season in their race shops preparing for 2022.
After a season of victories and defeats that had only one rainout, it all points to this Friday, September 2nd for the final weekly racing when champions will be crowned in the Tracey Road DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, DOT Foods DIRTcar Sportsman, and the AmeriCU Credit Union Mod Lites presented by 87 Speed.
Adding to the night of racing excitement this Friday will be the high flying, methanol breathing, winged warriors of the Lucas Empire Super Sprints.
Chris Hile and Larry Wight will put it all on the line in the Modifieds as Hile has a two-point lead coming into the final 35-Lap showdown for the Track Championship.
In the Sportsman, Amy Holland leads Alan Fink by eleven points as they are both going for their first Track Championship.
Fan favorite Mike Mullen will be crowned Mod Lite Champion this Friday.
