Column By: TOM WENNER / RPW – SCHNECKSVILLE, PA – Tanner VanDoren known as “TVD” has spent the ’22 racing season sharpening his racing skills preparing for the year end special events are upon us as the ’22 season heads into the final stretch.
VanDoren started the season in Florida chasing the Brett Deyo Short Track Super Series Sunshine Swing and then moved to the Northeast with plenty of momentum.
The Schnecksville, PA young modified sensation graduated to weekly Big Block Modified competition at Middletown, NY’s Orange County Fair Speedway with the assistance from Keith Hoffman Racing.
Tanner raced a full season at Orange County in the Keith Hoffman Big Block Modified, finishing 10th in points and scoring a best 3rd place finish on June 18th.
While Tanner did not race weekly on Friday or Sunday nights during the season, He did travel a bit in both Big and Small Block Modified competition. The family owned TVD Racing team traveled to Georgetown, Accord, and Bloomsburg with the Short Track Super Series while hitting Weedsport and Big Diamond (Hoffman 6) with the Super DIRTcar Series.
Tanner also raced a pair of Bob Miller Grandview Speedway Thunder On The Hill Shows along with the Grandview Speedway Freedom 76 (Hoffman 6). Late in the summer, TVD invaded the Land Of Legends Raceway and raced with the best of NY at the historic central NY speed plant.

Once Super Dirt Week in Oswego, NY is completed TVD Racing and Keith Hoffman Racing will pair together for an assault on the famed 61st edition of the Orange County Fair Speedway Eastern States Weekend.
The Keith Hoffman Racing Bicknell 6over is currently being completely freshened to attack the Eastern States Weekend Big Block Modified 200 event. The TVD Racing Bicknell #22 DIRTcar 358 Modified will also be racing the Saturday portion of Eastern States Weekend in the 358 Eastern States 100 Championship.
