Story By: RYAN DELPH / TIM MCCREADIE RACING – TULSA, OK – Former ‘Chili Bowl’ Champion Tim McCreadie was back behind the wheel of a Midget from January 9-14 at Tulsa Expo Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
A total of 365 competitors signed in for competition during the hectic week at the indoor oval with only 24 drivers transferring into the main event for the 37th Annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire.
Things kicked off for Tim on Monday night during the Race of Champions. The Watertown, New York superstar timed in 18th fastest during the qualifying session before passing five competitors during the contest en route to a thirteenth place showing.
In his prelim night on Tuesday, Tim placed third in his heat race, the qualifier, and the B-Main. After rolling off from the inside of the eleventh row in the prelim feature, “T-Mac” blasted past thirteen racecars on his way to a stellar eighth place performance.
During Championship Night on Saturday, Tim made a great last lap move to earn the seventh and final transfer spot through his B-Main to earn the outside of the 12th row for the 55-lap ‘Chili Bowl’ headliner.
The 2006 Champion then helped put on a show during the biggest Midget race of the year, as he climbed 13 spots to finish in the 11th position.
