Hafertepe Rallies From Tail Twice To Capture 360 Sprint Ronald Laney Memorial, Again, At East Bay

Information By: EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK – TAMPA, FL – In a Sprint Car race that lasted 54 minutes which saw 11 caution flags and one red flag stoppage, 11th starting Sam Hafertepe Jr. rallied from the tail twice and was able to defend his Ronald Laney Memorial King of the 360s title from a year ago taking the $10,000 winner’s paycheck back to his Sunnyvale, Texas home.
Steve Throop completed the weekend sweep of the IMCA Mod Lites and raced away with the $4,000 top prize as well to cap off the 47th annual Winternationals.
