RPW Column: Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series’ Ready To Keep More Memories Alive In ’23

Column By: LAURIE FALLIS / RPW – GLOVERSVILLE, NY – After a very successful 2022 season, the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series (MVVDMS) is gearing up for another fun and exciting year “Keeping The Memories Of Our Racing’s Past Alive” for the racing enthusiasts to enjoy.
The 2023 season will see the series enter into its fifth with myself as the promoter. With great help and sponsorship and the ever dedicated drivers, this series has really evolved into something special.
Last year, we seen a record car count that topped 44 at Fonda Speedway. Throughout the season, many drivers come from all areas of New York and adjacent states, traveling from up to six hours away. It was also great to have our north of the border Canadian racing family make there way also to our special events as well.
Excitement is in the Vintage world as 2023 will once again see the MVVDMS host five divisions.

- Mystique Division
- Sportsman Division
- Late Model Division
- Modified Division
The schedule for 2023 will see the Series hold 12 events, taking place at eight different tracks in two states.
- Fonda Speedway (April 29th, May 27th, June 10th, July 3rd, August 12th)
- Utica-Rome Speedway (June 23rd)
- Devil’s Bowl Speedway (July 15th)
- Albany-Saratoga Speedway (August 4th)
- Lebanon Valley Speedway (August 26th)
- Airborne Speedway (September 2nd)
- Brookfield Speedway (September 9th)
- Afton Motorsports Park (October 7th)
