Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / GREG WILSON RACING – BENTON RIDGE, OH – Although Mother Nature has been a burden to those in search of action in the Buckeye State, conditions are likely to take a positive turn, as competitors like Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing are eager to get back in the seat this Friday and Saturday for Attica Raceway Park’s annual Spring Nationals featuring the All Star Circuit of Champions.
Wilson, a former two-time Series champion and 25-time winner, will chase a total winner’s share equaling $12,000 in the Attica double; $6,000 on Friday and $6,000 on Saturday. The Spring Nationals blockbuster will also be Attica’s first program of the season, as Mother Nature has ruined all events leading to the weekend.
Certainly no stranger to Spring Nationals competition, Greg Wilson was a runner-up in the 2022 opener, bumping two spots to finish just behind eventual winner and repeat Series champion, Tyler Courtney.
Just as impressive, Wilson rallied from 24th to finish 11th in the 2022 Spring Nationals finale; he was the evening’s Hard Charger Award winner for advancing the most feature positions.
“We’re ready to get the weekend started. It’s been a long break since Florida, but we’re excited to get back to work,” Greg Wilson, driver of the Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, Ohio Logistics Warehousing and Transportation, SandRidge Customs, Banshee Graphics, CJMM, No. W20 sprint car, said. “This event was pretty kind to us last year so our plan is to pick up right where we left off with the W20. I just can’t thank everyone at Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, and Ohio Logistics enough. Without their support, building our own team would have been almost impossible, and we hope to show our gratitude this weekend with some positive results.”
Race fans should be on the lookout, as Greg Wilson Racing and Hercules Tires are conducting an Attica Raceway Park Spring Nationals ticket giveaway on Twitter [https://twitter.com/herculestires]. More information will be posted in the near future.
Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing will continue their 2023 campaign with an All Star Circuit of Champions doubleheader – the Core & Main Spring Nationals – at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Friday and Saturday, April 7-8.
