Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing joined the Greatest Show On Dirt in a visit to the legendary Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, during the recent weekend, and although the Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native was unsuccessful in his top-ten pursuit, highlighting the two-day function with a 16th-place score in Saturday’s $20,000-to-win finale, the knowledge acquired was valuable, already setting aim on starts in Missouri and Kansas this Friday and Saturday.
“We do our best to take advantage of the situations thrown at us. It’s tough out here racing with the best in the world night in and night out. All we can do is learn and move forward. That’s what it’s all about,” Zearfoss explained. “Hats off to my guys and all of our supporters. They are the backbone of this team and I certainly wouldn’t be in this position without them.”
As mentioned, Zearfoss, ace of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, Milton Hershey School, A. Lane Living, No. 3Z sprint car, highlighted his Texas visit with a 16th-place score, rallying four spots in the process. Passing was a premium most of the weekend at Devil’s Bowl creating harsh conditions for improvement.
The “Jonestown Jet” remains 12th in the World of Outlaws championship standings, still chasing his first Series win of the season, and his first since conquering action at Cedar Lake Speedway a summer ago.
Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their 2023 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with another action-packed weekend through the Midwest, this time visiting US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri, and 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kansas, on Friday and Saturday, April 7-8. The stop at 81 Speedway – the fifth annual Jason Johnson Classic – will award a $20,000 payday.
