Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – After taking a one-week respite to give all drivers, fans and employees a well needed break, Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter, Tyler Siri will return on Friday, June 16 with Mid-Season Championship Night along with an appearance by the CRSA 305 Sprint Tour Series.
“I like to book as many Sprint Car events at Outlaw as the schedule will allow, stated Siri. We have a pair of Tony Stewart All Star Circuit of Champions 410 Sprint Shows and I can always depend on several ESS 360 shows. Again, this season I have an opportunity to book the CRSA 305 Sprints and I am really excited about adding them back on the card.”
The Mike Emhoff led 305 CRSA Sprints provide a good mixture of seasoned veterans as well as a core group of up-and-coming drivers looking to find their way in Sprint Car Racing and the 305’s offer competitors a more affordable option then the full blown 360 or 410 Sprint Cars.
History will show that the CRSA event at Outlaw will be the sixth appearance of the organization dating back to 2012 in a co-promotion between Mike “Crusin” VanDusen and then track owner, Dean Hoag.
Recent CRSA Outlaw Speedway winners include The Motorized Mad Man, Darrly Ruggles in 2014 and 2016 along with Jordan Hutton at last year’s 2022 event.
Currently Hutton is doing well leading not only the overall CRSA Point Standings, but he also leads the I-90 Pit Stop Challenge Series plus the DisBAtch Brewing Co. Land of Legends Raceway Series.
Hutton has been a picture of consistency having a single win at LOLR plus a second at Fonda followed by a third at Weedsport.
In addition to the CRSA Sprints it will also be a Regular Super 7 Show featuring all the weekly divisions including the Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modifieds, the Sunrise Insulation American Racer Tire and Knapp and Schlappi Lumber DIRTcar Hoosier Tire Sportsman Divisions along with the Swarthout Recycling Rookie Sportsman’s.
Also, on the card it is the Addison, Corning, Hornell and Wellsville NAPA sponsored Hobby Stocks, the Winner’s Circle Deli Mini Stocks along with the Brock’s Bowl and Pizzeria Street Stocks and the Fritz Masonry Youth Bandit Divisions.
Siri also stated that, “It is hard to believe we are at the Mid-Season portion of our point paying season. After a month of rain in April we have been on a roll for the past several weeks and we want to keep it going into the second half of the 2023 season. We have several extraordinary events coming up including the Annual Fireworks program on June 30 which is always a huge event.”
