Story By: CHRIS MOORE / SHORT TRACK SUPER SERIES – WEST HAVEN, VT – Next up for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco is the sole trip of the year to Vermont to invade Mike Bruno’s Devil’s Bowl Speedway.
The challenging half-mile oval hosts Round No. 4 of the River Valley Builders North Region on Father’s Day, June 18 during the 10th anniversary season for the STSS.
The 50-lap affair rewards the first driver under the Sunoco checkered flags a cool $10,000 payday. $1,000 is reserved for 10th-place and $500 to take the green flag.

Savannah, N.Y.’s Matt Sheppard won last year’s event – the first-ever STSS trip to Devil’s Bowl – over Mat Williamson and Queensbury, N.Y.’s Demetrios Drellos.
This year, Williamson – of St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada – leads the STSS North Region into Vermont after his fourth-place finish at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, N.Y., last Tuesday.
Williamson holds a slim 10-point advantage over Sheppard and a 68-point lead over Bohemia, N.Y.’s Dillon Steuer.
Walden, N.Y.’s Anthony Perrego and Guilderland, N.Y.’s Marc Johnson round out the top five in North Region points.
Joining the STSS-sanctioned Modifieds at Devil’s Bowl Speedway are the Sportsman, Limiteds, and Mini-Stocks, all under Devil’s Bowl Speedway rules and procedures.
