The Beasts of the Northeast return to Ransomville Speedway for the annual Summer Nationals event, highlighted by a 75-lap, $7,500-to-win, Feature.
There have been three different winners in the last three events – Stewart Friesen in 2018, Matt Sheppard in 2021 and Mat Williamson in 2022 – and 18 different winners in the Series’ 38 races at the track.
Williamson has created a home-field advantage at the 3/8-mile track – less than an hour from his St. Catharines, ON home – running weekly there the past few years. Along with picking up several weekly track victories, Williamson is also the two-time and defending 358 Modified track champion.
To score back to back Summer Nationals victories, he’ll have to contend with nine-time and defending Series champion Matt Sheppard, Peter Britten, Jimmy Phelps, Chris Hile, Max McLaughlin and more.
The DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series will join the Super DIRTcar Series for its four round of the Series.
