Story By: JUSTIN SNYDER / PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY – PORT ROYAL, PA – Port Royal Speedway returns this Saturday, July 15th, with another three-division spectacular. The event is sponsored by Juniata Valley Tri-County Drug and Alcohol.
The evening will see the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars compete for $5000 to win along with the Dack’s Trucking LLC Limited Late Models and the PennsValley MeatMarket PA Sprint Series 305 Sprint Cars.
Pit Gates Open at 4:00, GA Gates Open at 5:00 with Racing scheduled to kick off at 7:00pm
GA- $20, Students- $10, Pits- $35
Devon Borden enters the weekend as the most recent winner in Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Car competition as he rebounded from a tough PA Speedweek to score his third victory of the season. Borden currently leads the point standings by a margin of 50 points over Mike Wagner followed by Jeff Halligan (-180), Dylan Cisney (-200) and Justin Whittall (-380).
Ryan Zook scored his first career victory in the Limited Late Model division last weekend and as a result he holds a mere 5-point advabtage in the points over Shawn Shoemaker. Taylor Farlling (-50), Eric Irvin (-80) and Casey Steinhoff (-105) complete the top five.
Closing out the card is the PA Sprint Series 305 Sprint Cars. Logan Spahr enters the event three for four at the Speedway in 2023 and is the current point leader. Seth Schnoke (-45), Doug Dodson (-105), Ken Duke (-135) and Mike Melair (-185) round out the top five.
