
Column By: MIKE TRAVERSE / RPW – MIDDLETOWN, NY – Brian Krummel continued his charge towards a possible Orange County Fair Speedway Sportsman champion with a clean sweep of the features on Saturday night.
As the holdover feature from July 5th was restarted with 4 laps complete, Krummel quickly moved from 10th spot to the lead on lap 7. From there, he checked out on the field, taking the checkered flag with a 4.3 second margin of victory.
Kasey Hufcut was 2nd, Travis Green 3rd, Gary Edwards III 4th and Nick Giardini 5th. Ryan Neiger was 6th, Jared LaBagh 7th, Tyler Peet 8th, Kevin Stevens 9th and Tyler Johnston 10th.
In the regularly scheduled feature, Krummel was on the move early again. From 14th, he took the lead on lap 8 and cruised to a 3.3 second victory. Hufcut recovered from an early race skirmish and drove through the field for another 2nd place finish.
Drew Boniface was 3rd with Anthony Falanga 4th and Gary Edwards III 5th. Tyler Johnston was 6th, Kevin Stevens 7th, Jared LaBagh 8th, John Kendall 9th and Mike Sabia 10th.
Michael Giuliano picked up another win in the Rookie Sportsman. The 8th starting Giuliano took the lead on lap 4 and was not challenged from that point. Donnie Campbell was 2nd, Shawn Murphy was 3rd, Willis Mann 4th and Scott Zehnacker 5th.
Chase Zimmer finished 6th, Brandon Grygus 7th, Caleb Van Noordt 8th, Fred Pavia 9th and Shawn Johannessen 10th.
OCFS will be back in action on Saturday, August 12th. The 358 Small Block Modifieds are back along with Sportsman and Street Stocks.
