Story By: MARTIN BELANGER / CORNWALL MOTOR SPEEDWAY – CORNWALL, ONT – The Cornwall Motor Speedway is very in finalizing all details for the 4th edition of the Canadian Super DIRT Weekend presented by DIRT Outlaw Apparel and Splash Well Drilling.
To kick off this edition, the annual Fan Fest is back this Sunday, October 1st as the popular parade in the streets of Cornwall will highlight the afternoon.
Like last year, all activities will be held at the Cornwall Civic Complex located at 100 Water Street in Cornwall, the parade will leave the complex at 1pm and will be heading west on Montreal Road, heading north on Brookdale to 13th street, going east on 13th to Pitt Street and heading south down Pitt all the way back to the complex.
After the parade, fans will be able to meet the drivers and see the cars at the complex, we already have 20 confirmed drivers and numbers will continue growing until the parade on Sunday.
A live DJ will be on site to entertain the fans along with a BBQ with all the proceeds going to Beyond 21, some bounce houses will be there as well for the young fans, the music and activities will end at around 4pm.
4 days of racing! Race fans will be pleased with 4 consecutive days of racing with Mohawk starting with the Showdown on the Border presented by Thompson Motorsports on Thursday, October 5, then all racing will move to Cornwall for 3 days including a $10,000 to win 358-Modified feature on Sunday.
New this year, the Saturday and Sunday will be divided in two portions with 5 classes in the afternoon and 3 at night. On Friday, 3 divisions will kickoff the weekend as healthy fields of cars are expected on each day with already more than 165 entries are in for Saturday and 130 for Sunday.
